Your parents were basically right! Haha. I think it looks nice, though I'd have to see it in person to really know how I feel. And YUM, the eggs benedict looks amazing.
I think it will look better once in grows out some more. The eggs look VERRRY tempting! More than a soul patch but I guess this is more appropriate for your setting.
